Out of these the least favorite seems to be Asperger's Disease, with some people acting as if are a knuckle-dragging cretin if you use it.

There is probably a bit of PC in this reaction as well as just "antics with semantics".

Just saying "Asperger's" would be the safest and easiest way to avoid raised eyebrows even though Asperger's does meet the broad definition of a disease: a disordered or incorrectly functioning organ, part, structure, or system of the body resulting from the effect of genetic or developmental errors, infection, poisons, nutritional deficiency or imbalance, toxicity, or unfavorable environmental factors; illness; sickness.
